The World’s First PolisPay Transaction

On 22 May, 2010, a programmer paid 10,000 Bitcoin for a couple pizzas from Papa John’s.

At the time that Bitcoin was worth $25. Today it’s worth north of $62 million.

On 30 October, 2018 I paid 4.51 Polis for an Oreo Donut and a Chai from Dunkin Donuts.

This is the story of the very first transaction using PolisPay.

The very moment PolisPay was being used to exchange currency for goods.

The world’s first PolisPay receipt. I’ll be holding onto it.

This is what 4.5 Polis buys you.

I enjoyed my donut and chai by the glow of the United Nations and the Empire State Building.
